ICT Infrastructure & Cyber Security Engineer

The Opportunity:

We invite you to step into the role of the Infrastructure & Cyber Security Engineer and become a key player in our ICT & Business Improvement team. This is your chance to be part of a purpose-driven organisation that's transforming residential aged care. In this role, you’ll have responsibility to enhance and maintain the security posture of the Information Technology infrastructure at Opal HealthCare. This role is crucial for protecting the digital assets, data, and systems from cyber threats, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and systems.

This is a full-time position for a 12-month fixed term contract with the opportunity to work remotely and/or at our Sydney Home Office. 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the existing team on the delivery of our Cyber Resiliency program, alignment with NIST CSF and Essential Eight
  • Technical ambassador for Cyber related activities within Opal
  • Firewall management experience 
  • Implement changes and improvements identified by our SOC across various technologies
  • Implement, and maintain security solutions related to the Microsoft 365 & Microsoft Azure Technology stack
  • Triage and undertake root-cause analysis of security incidents and issues
  • Vulnerability Management and reporting
  • Project delivery in line with agreed schedules and quality of work
  • Administer the third party vendor security assessment process
  • Monitoring, managing, and resolving Cyber Security related support incidents and problems proactively and in a timely manner against SLA targets

Role Requirements: 

  • A solid understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks, standards, tools, techniques, and methods
  • Experience administering SCCM and Intune environments
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience administering Windows server-side infrastructure (Windows server operating systems), Active Directory and associated technologies e.g. DNS, DHCP, WINS and Group Policies
  • Experience administrating VMware vSphere environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Security tools such as Defender suite and Sentinel, Powershell, Firewall Management 
  • Familiarity with common types of cyber threats (e.g., malware, phishing, social engineering) and vulnerabilities (e.g., misconfigurations, unpatched systems)
